Heb 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern both good and evil.
Q: What is Evil? A: Evil is the absence of Good
Q: What are the Characteristics of Evil? A:
- Evil is parasitic : Evil cannot exist without the host
- Evil needs source to exhaust [ host to draw out exhaust, aka Edom ]
- Evil is must draw out life/blessing meant from the host to exist
Sources of Inspiration
- Evil is parasitic : Evil cannot exist without the host
God Created All Things in Creation; [ created = brings into existence]
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Implication:
- God exists outside creation, initiating & acting to create the "all things in creation"
- God designed creation before creation came into existence.
- God "work" relation to creation and phased approach view.
Creation & Phases Creation & Time Acts of God Design phase of creation before creation Acts of God before the existence of creation in "designing" the creation. Build phase of creation age-time-period-span-days 1 to 6 Acts of God in Genesis creation days 1 to 6; Execution Phase of Design in 6 successive periods of time Operations phase of creation age-time-period-span-day 7 Acts of God in functionally keeping up creation. Functional equivalent to Resting from Building Decommission Phase of creation age-time-period-span during day 7 Acts of God in functionally separating elements not opposition to God's Glory
God sustains creation by the word of His power; [sustains = upholds all things]
Heb 1:3 who is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power; who, having accomplished cleansing for sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
Concept
- Word of God as the convergence into a singularity cause, satisfying functional requirement of multiple ontological causes.
Implication:
- Word of God is Power that sustains creation. [ Power = Work / Time ]
- Word of God is first material interface to "Creation" [Material Cause, out of which creation comes into existence]
- Word of God is first instrumental interface to "Creation" [Instrumental Cause, through which creation comes into existence]
- Word of God is actively holding up "Creation" to continue to exist. [Connected Cause, amid which creation stays in existence]
- Word of God is Jesus [Efficient Cause, by which creation comes into existence]
The source of power for the fundamental fabric of creation, comes from outside creation, into creation. At some layer of creation, it is detectable in creation as form of an energy mesh fabric, which gives rise to hierarchical manifestations of things including ordinary detectable visible matter, including galaxies, star systems, planets, angelic kinds, man kinds and other kinds in creation.
God Created Angels
- Constrained Derived Truth:
- Since God created all things, Angels are created things, therefore God created the Angels
God Sustains the Angels
- Constrained Derived Truth:
- Since God sustains all things, all things include Angels, therefore God sustains the Angels
Therefore, God has created and sustains the angels.
Implication:
- Angels cannot exist apart from God; God's word sustains them;
- Without God - YHWH, fulfilling his functional role as the sustainer of creation, and all the logical subset within creation known as angels, hense angels cannot exist.
- God is the ultimate provider source of all "power" for all things in creation. Manifestation of things in creation, including "angels" to exist.
Fallen Angel Fallen Angels are subset of the Angelic Kind, that rebelled against God
Isaiah 14:12-14
12 How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! 13 But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’
Revelation 9:1 Then the fifth angel sounded. Then I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth, and the key of the pit of the abyss was given to him
Revelation 12:3-4 Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems. 4 And his tail *swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.
God allows the fall of some Angels (aka Fallen Angels, i.e. subset of the Angelic Kind)
Jude 6 And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day,
God gives over fallen angels to their lust
Gen 6:2 that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were good in appearance; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.
Gen 1:1 God created the heavens and the earth
- Satan & Devils as the ultimate representation of evil in Creation
- Evil present during times of Adam & Eve to temp Eve
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation … and all the angels shouted for joy?” (Job 38:4,7).
Fallen Angels
2
- Evil needs source to exhaust [ host to draw out exhaust, aka Edom ]
ex.haust - Drawn Out. [ Edom ] v30
- Evil is must draw out life/blessing meant from the host to exist
