# Concluding Thoughts
GGC is not new, but just a reclamation of what used to be. The common denominator for all calendar reforms throughout history was to better serve mankind and to bring about unity. (see [Counsel of Nicaea](https://git.1.goodg.org/admin/Journal-kmin/wiki/2025.12.20-Reflections-for-2025%2C-Nicene-Creed%2C-Unity-of-the-Church%2C-Better-Calendar-System-for-Easter) )
In essence all calendar reformed was to provide better structure for good governance! Hence, GGC is nothing new, but a effort to reclaim and restore the calendar, but aided by technology and understanding of the cosmos, and designed to easily adapt as mankind increases in knowledge.
